Terashare 4.2.0 Current release
End-to-end encrypted shares (TSE2). The client encrypts before seeding and decrypts locally, so the server, our cloud and the peer-to-peer swarm only ever see ciphertext. This is the first release that can open an encrypted share — the server refuses older clients on those.

We don't currently publish an installer for your platform. Every build we do publish is listed on this page — the browser version needs no installation at all.
Verify what you downloaded
Every installer we publish is listed above with its SHA-256 checksum. Check it before you install: it proves the file you received is the file we built, and it is the one check that does not depend on trusting the network in between.

Get-FileHash <file> -Algorithm SHA256All checksums, for every release on this page, are also available as a single file: SHA256SUMS. Compare the output of the command above with the line for your file — they must match exactly.
macOS builds are code-signed. Authenticode signing of the Windows installer and notarization of the macOS build are being rolled out; until then, the published checksum is the authoritative integrity check.
Updates and support period
Security fixes are delivered in the current release. Each desktop client release is supported for 5 years from its release date, meeting the minimum support period required by Article 13(8) of the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
Older releases stay available on this page for compatibility and for anyone who needs to reproduce a past install — but they do not receive security fixes, and releases before 4.2.0 cannot open end-to-end encrypted shares (the server refuses them rather than handing over a file they would fail to decrypt). If you are running one, update.

Reporting a security problem
Found a vulnerability in the client or the service? Email security@terashare.net. This is our single point of contact for vulnerability reports. Please do not disclose it publicly first — tell us, and give us a chance to fix it.
- We acknowledge reports within 5 business days and give an initial severity assessment within 10.
- We aim to fix critical issues within 30 days of triage, and high-severity issues within 90.
- We ask for a 90-day coordinated disclosure window, and we will not pursue researchers acting in good faith.
- If you believe a vulnerability is being actively exploited, say so — that starts a regulatory notification clock on our side.
A software bill of materials (SBOM) is maintained for every release and is available on request at security@terashare.net.
